Rance IV is the first game of the main series to use 256-color mode. The art is simply gorgeous on this one, and the lore develops pretty absurdly, too. Tulip Goddess Maria's script is as good and funny as on the previous game. Too bad the gameplay is a step down after Rance III, but it's still a really nice game and arguably the last "real" classic Rance game (as "Brutal King" plays very differently).
When RottenBlock updated his great Sys0Decompiler tool with support for more System 2 games, it was obvious we had to do this one. It took priority over the other projects, and kept us busy for three months. The text rendering in this game is a real mess, so Alpharobo had once again to make wonders to make it a bit more cooperative. Now everything's done, with a few minor changes to accomodate the lack of space in menus (hope you're not too picky about spell names, for instance). So enjoy!
