The last System 1 game from the AliceSoft porting project, and arguably the best. Custom is a more traditional hero than Rance, even if you still have the choice to do a couple fucked-up things in this game. Anyway, the story is simple but pretty entertaining, the game system feels more polished, and exploring the dungeons is more interesting than the menu-driven system of the first two Rance games. It already gives a taste of what will happen next with the system 2/3 games such as Only You, Rance 3, Toushin Toshi 2 or Dalk.
There were a couple issues to fix on the hacking side, such as the scrolling intro text, and some notable engine differences with the previous System 1 games, but Alpharobo managed once again to get everything ready in a very short time. The original script by Arunaru feels very literal, but it's still pretty decent. Apart for reformatting to take account of the extra space to write text in this version, and fixes on a couple typos, there haven't been any edits.
